COOKBOOK: Recipes Inspired by Batan’s Flavours

Part of understanding a particular place is through the foods of that region. Food is an integral component to experiencing culture. It invigorates the senses and connects us with the products of the land. This ongoing project encourages Artists in Residence and visitors to contribute a recipe as a response to the cuisine they have encountered during their stay. It's important for these recipes to use ingredients that can be found in the local market.

Each page is hand painted by participating artists and visitors of the House. After the calendar year, Elmo’s Artist Cookbook will be published as an artifact that can be purchased online.
